Putnam County Comprehensive Services has announced their brand new arts program! The arts program is designed to give the gift of art to individuals with developmental disabilities in Greencastle. The program was created from the Creative Abundance Model, where the artwork that is made by those who participate in the program, will eventually be able to be in a storefront setting, where it is available for sale and to offer the possibility of businesses and community locations to display their art. Currently PCCS is asking the public to make supply donations to help keep this program moving. They are asking for: fabric, embroidery items, scissors, paint smocks, colored paper, craft materials, sewing machine, wood, glue, cornstarch, duct tape and many more items used for arts and crafts. To donate an item you can head over to 630 Tennessee Street in Greencastle and drop off your donation from 8am to 4pm on weekdays. Monetary donations will also be accepted. For more info you can call Meghan Armitage at (765) 653-9763.
