Ruby Emma (Stolzenbach) Michael, 84, of Clay City, went to be with the Lord, October 30, 2016 while at Regional Hospital.
Ruby was born February 7, 1932, in Dyer, Indiana, the daughter of George and Emma (Segert) Stolzenbach. She graduated from Dyer High School with the class of 1950. Ruby married Ralph Michael Sr. July 9, 1950. Ruby was a member of the Community Church of Farmersburg, Tuesday morning Bible Study, Gideon’s. She enjoyed spending time with her family – especially the grandchildren.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents: George and Emma Stolzenbach, her husband Ralph Michael and two sisters Mildred Sennoltz and Mabel Fogerty.
Survivors include her 3 children: Carol Ellington and husband John of Clay City, JR Michael and wife Becky of Bowling Green and Angela Michael of Clay City; grandchildren: Christy Miller and husband Dave, Troy Ellington and wife Lynda, Matthew Michael and wife Erin, Jamie Michael and fiancé Heather Boner, Arian Michael, and Bentley Michael; great-grandchildren: Logan Miller, Jacob Staley, Kyleigh Miller, Kinsley Scott, Dylan Herbert, Mackenzie Michael, Emma Michael, Peyton Michael, Braxton Michael, Gwendalynn Featherstone, and Weston Michael (on the way); as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Services will be at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 301 East Eighth St. Clay City, Indiana 47841, Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home, Thursday, from 10am until time of services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Community Church of Farmersburg or Gideon’s.
