The man who attempted to flee from the Putnam County Courthouse last week is due to appear back in court on December 14th at 11am. Carey K. Carr, age 50 of Brownsburg, has been on the authorities’ radar for quite some time. Carr has had nine separate sentences since 1989 and his most recent bout of criminal activity will be putting him behind bars again. Carr will be facing a charge of burglary and theft. Both charges are from incidents on September 8th involving a stolen Kubota from the Depauw University Facilities Management Office that was used to drive to the Greencastle Wal-Mart and steal a 32 inch Television. While he was able to avoid arrest in Putnam County, he was later apprehended in Brownsburg for stealing gasoline. Carr is currently being held in the Putnam County Jail.
