On October 15th just before 10pm, Parke County Deputies and Rockville Police Officers initiated a traffic stop on a white van for a moving violation on US Highway 41 in front of BJs Electronics. The driver, Jerald Owens, age 52 of Terre Haute, was found to have a suspended license and appeared to be under the influence. A field sobriety test was conducted and Jerald was taken into custody after failing. While taking inventory of the vehicle for tow, Methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located inside the vehicle. Owens was transported to the Parke County jail for Possession of Meth and Paraphernalia, OVWI Refusal, and Driving while suspended prior.
