Wilma Jean (Crabb) Grayless, 94, of Brazil, passed away October 8, 2016 at Cloverleaf Nursing Home.
Jean was born October 25, 1921 in Carbon, the daughter of the late William “Van” and Clara Elizabeth (Greenwall) Crabb. She married the love of her life Wilbur “Wib” Grayless in 1940. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2015 after 74 years of marriage. Together they raised their three children, Mark Grayless, Vicki Tirey, and the late Larry W. Grayless. Jean enjoyed gardening, playing Euchre, listening to and attending blue grass music concerts, mushroom hunting, going to yard sales and traveling to Florida each winter for twenty-three years. She was an active member of the First Christian Church in Brazil. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, and celebrating the major holidays with them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wib Grayless; son, Larry W. Grayless; her parents; siblings, William “Bill” Crabb, Ruth Frye, Betty Martin and Mildred “Midge” Young.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Vicki Tirey and husband Kenneth of Brownsburg, Indiana; a son Mark Grayless and wife Wilma of Terre Haute, Indiana; daughter-in-law Linda Grayless Mitchell of Seelyville, Indiana; grandchildren: Brian Grayless and wife Karon, Brent Grayless, Angela Cucullo and husband Luca, Matthew Tirey, Andrea Hopper and husband Kent, and Alison Sebastian and husband Matthew; great-grandchildren: Derek and Ethan Grayless, Luciana and Silvia Cucullo and Case Sebastian; sister-in-law, Ruby Crabb; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Visitation will be at the First Christian Church of Brazil, 1875 U.S. 40, Brazil, IN 47834, Tuesday, October 11, 2016, from 4-7pm. Services will be directly following at 7:00pm with Pastors Chris Gregg and Mark Grayless officiating. Committal services will be held at Clearview Cemetery, Wednesday, at 12:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Christian Church Worship Remodel fund 1875 U.S. 40 Brazil, Indiana.
