The Greencastle Police Department (GPD) is again teaming up with the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) to host Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, October 29th, from 8AM to noon. Drug Take Back Day will occur in Greencastle High School’s main parking lot. Officers will be on hand to take expired, unused, or unwanted medications, no questions asked. Both over-the-counter medications and prescription medications in pill, liquid, or powder form, will be accepted at this event. Sharps cannot be accepted at this event. And don’t concern yourselves of the state of the medicine bottle label. Everything collected on Drug Take Back Day is placed in an incinerator at the Buzzi Unicem USA Plant right here in Putnam County.
