Someone in Brownsburg is moving construction flags from their proper places. Now, the town is losing time and taxpayer dollars because of it. The stakes mark the locations for a sewer line that will turn a plot of land of Green Street into a commercial property. To make that happen, the project requires rerouting the sewer line through Arbuckle Acres Park. Twice in the last week, the stakes have been moved. Even inches makes a big difference and its costing taxpayers about $100 to reset each stake.
It’s believed that children might have played with the stakes, not realizing their value. The town plans to begin construction on the sewer line in the next 10 days and expect to complete it by the end of the year.
