PCPL International Observe the Moon Night!

The Putnam County Public Library will be hosting International Observe the Moon Night on Saturday, October 8th from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. International Observe the Moon Night is an annual event that is dedicated to encouraging people to “Look up’ and take notice of our nearest neighbor, the Moon.” There will be children’s craft and project stations for making moon journals, learning about the formation of moon craters, and more! Moon- themed snacks will be served.  On special loan for the evening is the STAR LAB: a portable planetarium, and a Celestron telescope for moon observation. The SKY LAB and Celestron telescope are provided courtesy of DePauw Professor of Physics and Astronomy Mary Kertzman. Mary and her students will be present to guide and inform our moon viewing.
