Horse dies in Tuesday morning Accident

A accident yesterday morning claimed the life of a horse who was loose on U.S. 40. According to officials 30 year old Dustin Dostin of Danville was westbound on U.S. 40 before sunrise between Reelsville and the Clay County line when the accident happened.  The 2 horses had escaped a pen and was walking along the highway when Dostin hit the one horse and killed it. Dostin was not injured but his SUV was totaled. Sheriff’s Deputies remind animal Owners that they are responsible for keeping their animals in fences, and they can be liable for accidents such as this.
