Demolition Project Results in Leakage of 53,000 Gallons of Water

A demolition project turned sour when workers from McGuire took down a residence located at 408 East Franklin Street in Staunton last week. The resulting demolition operations caused a breakage in a water line that was noticed by surrounding residents that notified the Staunton Water Superintendent Jacob Raubuch. It was estimated that the breakage had leaked 53,000 gallons of water which the Clay County Council has already decided to bill the company for.
