(South Bend, IN) — Notre Dame will begin the season with dual quarterbacks. Head coach Chip Kelly says DeShone Kizer and Malik Zaire will share signal-calling duties when the Fighting Irish open the season Sunday, September 4th at Texas. Zaire missed most of last year with a broken ankle. Kelly says he believes playing two quarterbacks will give the team the best chance of winning. He’ll see how things go against the Longhorns and evaluate from there.
