The June unemployment numbers are out and Indiana has dropped as a state to 4.6 percent a decrease of .02 percent. Putnam county’s numbers went up for the month of June to 4.7 percent after. May numbers of 4.3 percent. Counties to the North and East were better this month with Hendricks at 3.7, Montgomery at 4.0, and Morgan at 4.3. Counties to the west were a little higher with Clay at 5.0, and Parke at 5.1. The National unemployment rate for June was 4.8 percent.
