A two vehicle accident on I-70 resulted in only minor injuries of 4 individuals. According to reports officers responded to an emergency call of an accident on July 17th at 3:22pm that occurred on I-70 near the eastbound 37 mile marker. Investigations revealed that Robert McLaughlin of Philadelphia was heading eastbound on the right lane in his Toyota Camry. McLaughlin then attempted to merge into the passing lane and struck a Ford Escape driven by Debra Ferris of Terre Haute. This initial collision sent both vehicles spinning out of control and into two separate ditches. When paramedics arrived they checked the drivers of both vehicles and Ferris’s two children. Paramedics cleared all patients from the scene.
