Yesterday afternoon at 3:05pm, Indiana State Police Troopers from the Putnamville District Meth Suppression Unit descended upon a residence at 360 W. Taylor Dr, West Terre Haute, to investigate community tips alleging possibly methamphetamine activity at the home. During the investigation, troopers could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the residence. Upon further investigation 15 grams of suspected methamphetamine was discovered. Also discovered was nearly 2 grams of marijuana. Arrested was George E. Cheesman, age 50 of the address and Mary E. Marshall, age 43 of the address. The two were arrested on charges of possession of meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, maintaining a common nuisance and Marshall had extra charges of Dealing Marijuana and Methamphetamine.
