Officers from the Danville Metropolitan Police Department conducted multiple traffic stops over the week that resulted in the break down of a drug ring. One of the traffic stops occurred on Wednesday July, 6th where police pulled over a vehicle that had no license plate and found heroin and marijuana. The driver was arrested and taken to prison. Then the following morning on Thursday July, 7th officers pulled over another vehicle and found more heroin and other drug paraphernalia. The driver was arrested and it was found later that the two arrests were actually connected. The police officers then obtained a warrant to search an apartment near the area of the arrests at Marion and Washington Street. The search found multiple scales, plastic bags, meth, paraphernalia. All individuals arrested was Jason Skinner, age 33, Scott Neal, age 33, Maricel Espinoza, age 18, Darrell Skinner, age 33 and Danielle Barnes, age 22.
