Estella Hazel (Head) Lynch, 84, of Reelsville, passed away on June 4, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Hazel was born October 2, 1932 in Brazil, the daughter of the late Ollie and Mary (Brown) Head. She graduated from Brazil High School. Hazel married the love of her life John Lynch. He preceded her in death on July 28, 2000. In 1970, John and Hazel established Lynch’s Croy Creek Traders Fair. Together they owned and operated the biweekly events held there. Amongst many duties, Hazel would concentrate on the book work and working in the concession stand. This year was the 46th year in business. In her free time, outside running the business, she enjoyed going fishing. Hazel was a Methodist.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Lynch; her parents; son, Anthony Moyer; sister, Evelyn Moore and Agnes Archer; brothers, Jack Head and Bill Head.
Hazel is survived by her children, Madonna Murphy (Dennis) and Mark Lynch (Penny); step son, John Lynch; grandchild, Kevin Moyer and 5 great grandchildren; step grandchildren, Joanie Lynch and Jason Lynch; sister Lydia Holt; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Services will be Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 1pm at French Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Bridgewater officiating. Mausoleum entombment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Terre Haute. Visitation will be Saturday at 11am until time of services at the funeral home.
