Clint C. Ferry

Staff Sergeant Clint C. Ferry Sr., 77, of Brazil, passed away on June 13, 2016 at Union Hospital with his family by his side.
SSG Ferry was born January 16, 1939 in Brazil, the son of the late Wilson Ferry and Vivian Ferry Hall. He enlisted with the United States Army at the age of 17, where he served his country for 22 years until his retirement in 1977. Following his retirement from the United States Army, he worked at Putnamville Correctional Facility as a Correctional Officer for 18 years. SSG Ferry attended Trinity Baptist Church in Brazil.

In his free time he loved to travel, looking for treasures, hiding stuff for friends and family to find, and loved to give things away. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

SSG Ferry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim Ferry; granddaughter, Christy Boles.

He is survived by his children, Bruce Ferry, Becky Boles, Laura Weedes, Chris Ferry, Melissa Woodruff (Steve); best friend and life partner, Juddy Ferry; siblings, Harriett Parr, Gerald Ferry, Norman Ferry; as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Per SSG Ferry’s wish cremation will take place with a private burial to follow at Furry / Ferry Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to Disabled Veterans of America, 2439 W 16th St, Indianapolis, IN 46222.
