The Putnam County Convention and Visitor Bureau, Inc. (PCCVB) is excited to announce the appointment of its new Executive Director, Nancy C. Mark.
Mark is a native of Putnam County, attended Indiana State University, and is delighted to come “home” after 25-plus years serving companies around the country in high-level marketing positions. Mark has been instrumental in providing counsel to many not-for-profit economic development and tourism-related boards of directors and has advanced experience in digital media. Her Internet and social media expertise will serve the PCCVB in ways that will be influential to the PCCVBs mission of establishing an online competitive marketing presence.
“This skilled professional will provide Putnam County with a great deal of intelligence to move the county toward its goal of optimizing visitor spending and fortifying the economic fabric of community,” said Rick Patel, PCCVB board president.
During the hiring process, the PCCVB has also found a great deal of local talent that may contribute to the re-imagining of Putnam County’s tourism program. Along with the PCCVB board, Mark may soon be seeking interns and volunteers to provide experiential material and e-marketing expertise.
A welcoming event will be held in July, 2016. The public will be invited to attend and meet the new Putnam County tourism staff.
