On April 19th at approximately 4:58pm Deputies attempted to stop a black Ford Ranger for erratic driving on US41 near SR163. While the deputy was following the suspect vehicle, the suspect drove left of center several times and ran off the road and nearly struck other vehicles. The driver initially failed to stop but then did stop near the Lyford Y. The driver Michael Paul Rooksberry of Terre Haute was taken into custody and later tested .208% BAC. He was booked in the Parke County Jail for OWI and OWI Endangerment. He is being held on an $8,000 bond.
