American Red Cross Home Fire Campaign Coming to Greencastle!

The American Red Cross Home Fire Campaign is taking place in Greencastle Indiana and across the country to reduce deaths and injuries from home fires by 25 percent. The Red Cross will be going through Greencastle on April 17th starting at 12:00p to install smoke alarms in homes that need them and teach people about what they can do now to be prepared should a fire break out in their home. Joining the Red Cross will be Greencastle Fire Department, Beta Theta Pi and Alpha Phi from DePauw University. Last year, the American Red Cross of West Central Indiana assisted 268 families following disasters, the majority being home fires. The 17 county Chapter has set a goal to install 5,000 new smoke alarms by the end of the fiscal year, June 30th.
