Putnam County Absentee Voting is Open for May 2016 Primary Election

The Putnam County Absentee Voter Board will be available for the purpose of absentee voting for the May, 2016 Primary election from Tuesday April 5th, 2016 to Monday, May 2nd 2016 at noon. Any Putnam County Registered voter qualified to vote in the primary election may vote at the Putnam County Courthouse, on the second floor, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9am to 4pm. The courthouse will also be open for absentee voting on Saturday, April 23rd and 30th between the hours of 8am to 3pm. A voter must provide a government issued photo ID before casting an absentee ballot in-person at the clerk’s office or voting in-person at the polls on election day. The ID must fit the following criteria. Your ID must display your photo, Your name must be on the ID, Your ID must contain an expiration date and and still be current, Your ID must be issued by the state of Indiana or the US Government. Any person requiring an absentee ballot to be mailed to them in-county, out-of-county or out-of-state must complete an application for an absentee ballot.
