Roy E. Culler, 73, of Center Point and formerly of Bowling Green, Indiana passed away at his home, March 29, 2016 following an extended illness.
Roy was born March 12, 1943, in Clay County, Indiana the son of George and Helen (Montgomery) Culler. Roy graduated from Cory High School with the class of 1961 and then attended Purdue for a short period of time. Roy worked as a farmer for most of his life. He also worked as a coal miner for Peabody Coal Company from which he retired in 1998.
He married Elane Fagg March 28, 1964. Together they enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. They attended Meridian Street Church of Christ for several years. Roy served as a volunteer fireman for Patricksburg Volunteer Fire Department for many years.
Roy is preceded in death by his parents and a sister Rochelle Mathis and a brother-in-law Jerry Scott.
Roy is survived by his wife Elane; children: Elanna Frederick and husband Chris of Center Point, Keith Culler of Bowling Green, Eugenna Canada and husband Josh and Bobbi Harden and husband Jamey of Clay City; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a brother Darrell Culler and wife Carol and a sister Naia Lue Scott as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
Visitation for Roy will be at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 301 East Eighth Street Clay City, Indiana 47841, Friday, April 1, 2016 from 4-8pm. Services will be at the funeral home, Saturday, at 11:00am with Herb Woollard officiating. Burial will follow at McCullough Stigler Cemetery.
