Domestic Disturbance Report Ruled Suicide

On March 26th at approximately 1:13am, Parke County Sheriff’s Office deputies and the Rockville Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance in progress at a residence in rural Rockville after receiving a 911 phone call from Mike Farrar. Prior to the officer’s arrival on scene, it was reported that the female involved, Julie Farrar, shot her self in the head. Parke County EMS responded and transported Farrar to Union Hospital in Terre Haute where she later succumbed to her injury. An Autopsy was conducted at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute on Monday, March 28th, in which the forensic pathologist’s preliminary report ruled that the death was a result of a suicide, pending the toxicology results, which will take 3 weeks to obtain. At this time, foul play is not suspected.
