Two more thefts occurred yesterday at the new Danville Walmart. The first theft occurred at 2:45pm when police were dispatched after receiving a call of a theft in progress. Walmart’s Loss Prevention Officers observed a male shoving items into his shirt and pants, then leaving the store without paying for the items. Police took the male into custody outside the store and found $70 of stolen merchandise. The male was placed under arrest for theft and transported to Hendricks County Jail. The second theft occurred at 7:30pm. Police received a call of a theft in progress. When police arrived they observed the female suspect jumping into a vehicle and began leaving. Police located the vehicle, and a pursuit ensued. The vehicle eventually stopped and police took the female into custody on several charges.
