The issues of alcohol sales has come up quite often in the statehouse this year. This time lawmakers are being introduced to a bill that would allow 32 state parks and reservoirs to serve alcohol inside the parks. Currently the bill has passed the House and is moving onto the Senate where further discussions and debate will take place. Parks Officials are in support of the bill as they feel that it will allow them to profit from visitors of the parks who want to drink. Officials would also be able to sell alcohol during park events and compete with places that currently serve alcohol. Those against the bill are worried that the calmness of the parks will be disturbed and that allowing alcohol sales will increase bad behavior.
