In high school basketball action the Cloverdale Clovers had the opportunity to play at Bankers Life Field House where they paired with Covenant Christian. The Clovers lost 92-62. Despite being in foul trouble much of the game Cooper Neese still managed to put up 19 points and sophomore Jalen Moore added 19.
North Putnam traveled to North Vermillion and lost 68-44.
Greencastle traveled to Rockville and won 74-73. The Cubs have now won six out of their last seven and are 6-4 on the season.
South Putnam stayed at home on Saturday to play Edgewood and lost 67-34.
There is a three-way tie in both divisions of the Western Indiana Conference with six teams having a 3-1 conference record. Cloverdale is the only county team in that group. Greencastle is 2-2, North Putnam is 0-3 and South Putnam is 0-4.
In girls basketball Greencastle hosted Monrovia and won 48-30. The Tiger Cubs are now 14-3 on the season and 3-1 in the West Division of the Western Indiana Conference.
To be the number one seed in the division Greencastle would need Northview to lose to South Putnam this week and they would have to beat South Vermillion. Both Northview and the Tiger Cubs are 3-1, but Northview holds the head-to-head tie-breaker.
