Scams Cost Hoosiers $1.1 Million in 2015

$1.1 million dollars is how much Hoosiers lost to scams in 2015. The Indiana Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division received more than 3400 complaints, with the IRS scam being the most common. Luckily, a lot of people knew about the scam and were able to avoid becoming victims to this one. However, there was a Sweepstakes Lottery scam and it did take Hoosier residents money-approximately $356,000 of it.
