Ruth Willen, 84, long-time resident of Clay City, died Wednesday, December 23, 2015.
Daughter of Harry and Edith (Roberts) Baldauf, she graduated from Clay City High School in 1949. She was married for 45 years to Loy Willen, Jr. (died 1994) and is survived by children Barbara (James) Corzine, Beverly (Jack) Damos, Gary (Kathryn) Willen, and Robert Willen. She will be missed also by her beloved grandchildren, Arlena, James (Patsy), and Joseph Corzine, Andrew Damos, Kriesa (Greg) Duwes, Sarah (Ryan) Kiel, Meredith, and Rebecca Willen, and one great-grandchild, Kathryn Kiel.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 5-8p.m. and Wednesday at 11a.m. until time of services at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home. An Order of Eastern Star Service will take place Tuesday at 7:30p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home Wednesday at 12p.m., with burial following at Maple Grove Cemetery.
She was a 60 plus year member of the Clay City Order of Eastern Star and was a life-long supporter of 4-H. Her father founded the Clay City Fair; she was a 10-year 4-H member and served on the Fair Board. Her children and grandchildren continued her 4-H legacy.
