A Hendricks County man was arrested today December 28th for interfering with the rescue of horses from flood waters. The man, Charles Knights Jr. age 56 of Pittsboro faces charges of resisting law enforcement, refusal to leave an emergency area, public intoxication and criminal trespass. This situation started when police arrived at 6310 E. County Road 350 N in Brownsberg after receiving reports of horses in danger due to the flood waters. While officials were rescuing the animals, Knights was swimming toward the horses and calling to them. A conservation officer ordered Knights to leave the area, but Knights refused. When officials pulled Knights out of the water he was arrested and taken to Hendricks County Jail.
