Shirley Kay Winn, 73, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away, December 2, 2015 at Union Hospital following a long, courageous, battle with cancer.
She was born July 24, 1942, in Brazil, the daughter of Joseph and Helen (Simonson) Woolery. She married Larry Winn, November 21, 1959. Shirley worked for I.A.C. for more than 20 years before retiring due to health concerns. She and Larry raised 6 children: Mary, Larry, Kim, Danny, Lisa and Raymond.
In addition to spending time with her family she enjoyed playing bingo, watching birds, dancing, listening to music and playing online games.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Joseph and Helen Woolery; brothers and sisters: Paul Woolery, Pauline Kiefling, and Kenneth Woolery.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 56 years Larry Winn of Brazil; children: Mary Aaron and husband George of Jasonville, Indiana, Larry Winn of Brazil, Kimberly Crabtree of Carbon, Indiana, Danny Winn of Carbon, Lisa Glenn of Brazil, Indiana, and Raymond R.J. Winn and fiancé Jacqueline Neice of Brazil; grandchildren: Suzzanne Shafer and husband Jamie, Dennis Lovett, Brandon Winn, Michael O’Neal, Willie Chatham, Kyle Winn, Staci Willyard – Winn and Whitney Ridling; 14 great grandchildren; a sister Sharon Sears of Brazil as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Visitation will be at French Funeral Home, 421 East National Ave. Brazil, Indiana 47834, Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 5:00 – 8:00pm. Services will be at the funeral home, Sunday, at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery.
