Ronal J. Lunsford

Ronal J. Lunsford, 72 of Brazil, passed away November 14, 2015 at 9:05 pm at Union Hospital following a battle with cancer. He was born December 21, 1942 in Hornersville, MO, the son of James Hartford Lunsford and Mary Jan Shipman Lunsford. His family moved to Clay County and he was a graduate of Brazil High School. He served in the U.S. Army for two years and was honorably discharged. He was a member of the American Legion Post #2 and the VFW #1127.
He worked for many years as a glazier for L and S Glass. He enjoyed fishing with family and friends. He also enjoyed water fowl and squirrel hunting.
Ronal was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Danny Lunsford; a sister in law, Ann Lunsford; one niece, Donna Black and an infant sister.
Survivors include his children, Ron Lunsford of Thailand, Kelly Fisher and husband Mike of Brazil and Erik Winings also of Brazil; grandchildren, Keith Parker (Ashton), Neil Lewzader, Marlei Fisher, Taylor Lunsford, Noah Lunsford, and Olivia Lunsford; one great-grandchild, Avean Parker; brothers, Bob Lunsford, Joe Lunsford and wife Connie, and Tom Lunsford and wife Julie; many nieces, nephews and extended family, including, Angela Babbo, Gina Barnes (Brian), Christy Cash and Rhonda Collette.
At his direction, cremation will take place with a memorial service to be held Wednesday at 7pm at the Lawson-Miller Chapel, 1702 E. National Ave. Brazil, IN. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7pm. Military honors will also be a part of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
