NHTSA May Require School Buses in Indiana to Have Seat Belts

The state of Indiana may start seeing school buses with seat belts after a decision made by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The seat belts that will be used are the three point seat belts and will cost schools approximately $15,000 per bus to implement. The NHTSA seems for the time being to be mostly in favor of making this mandatory for all schools.
