“Spooky” Asteroid Expected to Pass Close to Earth on Halloween

Something “Spooky” has been discovered this Halloween season and it’s a little scarier than the boogie man. Scientists working with The Panoramic Survey Telescope & Rapid Response System have found a huge asteroid that is expected to pass close to earth this Halloween! Slooh will be broadcasting the asteroid at the time of its closest approach on Saturday October 31st at 1pm ET/ 10 AM PT. The asteroid is named 2015 TB145 with the nickname “Spooky” and is currently traveling through space at an impressive 78,000MPH and has a diameter of 2,132ft. Spooky will miss us by approximately 300,000 miles.
