Indiana DHS says residents should be prepared for earthquakes

The Indiana Department of Homeland Security says Hoosiers should always be prepared for the possibility of earthquakes. IDHS Spokesman John Erickson says Indiana is taking part in the “Great Central U.S. Shakeout” drill this morning at 10:15. (Thurs) Indiana is one of 14 states that are prepping for the potential hazards of an earthquake. Erickson says the operative words to follow during an earthquake or tremor are “Drop, Cover and Hold On.”
