The Town of Cloverdale has hit another problem in replacing a 1950’s era severe weather siren. According to town officials, The Putnam County EMA was able to secure a new siren to replace the old one, but now the town must have a new pole. Officials were told that Duke Energy could put the correct pole up for 3 thousand dollars, and Endeavor Communication does not have the specific pole needed, but could possible find one for the project in Indianapolis. The problem with the Endeavor proposal is that special transportation would be necessary in order to transport the pole from Indy to Cloverdale, and that may incur other expenses. Officials will keep working on a solution to the problem.
