Purdue gives Daniels more incentive

Purdue has given president Mitch Daniels a two-year contract extension. Daniels’ contract now runs through 2020, and includes a bigger incentive pool. His base pay of 420-thousand dollars doesn’t change, but he can earn up to 210-thousand dollars a year in performance bonuses instead of 126-thousand. The trustees voted to give Daniels a 113-thousand bonus for this year, based on the university’s progress on affordability, fundraising, student success, and “institutional reputation.”
