Contract with PCH could save the county money

In an effort to save the county some money, Putnam County Coroner Dave Brown has proposed a plan that could save his office about $5000 a year. As of right now when an autopsy needs to be performed they are sent to Dr. Roland Kohr of Terre Haute Regional Hospital. According to Brown, Regional charges a fee of $250 per case plus $150 for the transportation cost. A contract with the Putnam County Hospital could be reached for less money. The Commissioners said that Brown could go ahead with the proposal and work on a contract with the hospital.
