A Brownsburg woman had to change her phone number after a scammer threatened her life. Leah Eastridge said someone called her phone, ordering her to give her credit or debit card number and to go to her computer screen. Eastridge immediately knew this was a scam and told the caller no. The caller then blew up on her and began calling her names and even threatened to murder her family. After Eastridge hung up, the scammer kept calling back over and over again, forcing her to get her number changed. If you should find yourself in this situation, Brownsburg police urge you to call the Indiana Attorney General’s office to file a formal complaint.
