Lunar Eclipse this Sunday

View a spectacular lunar eclipse, an event that won’t happen for another 18 years, this Sunday night. As the moon will be in its closest proximity to Earth, it will appear up to 14 percent larger and 30 percent brighter in the sky before it is engulfed by an eclipse for more than an hour. Known as a blood moon, the moon will pass behind the Earth into its shadow, resulting in a red tint across its surface which can be clearly seen after 10pm.
