Tigers Beat Franklin

Franklin, Ind. – The Tigers broke a late 1-1 deficit and defeated Franklin 3-1 on Wednesday.

After a scoreless first half, DePauw (2-2) got on the scoreboard first with a goal from Katie Webb (59:04). Alyson Marzonie and Jennifer Dimos were credited with the assist.

Just over three minutes later Franklin (3-1) tied it with a goal from Clare Lenart. Maddie Fleet had the assist.

After a little bit more of back and forth play, Elizabeth Seewer scored the game winning goal at the 73:53 mark off an assist from Kathryn Ruark. For good measure, Seewer scored again (79:38) five minutes later as Bridget Brendza recorded the assist.

It was Webb’s and Seewer’s first goals of the season.

DePauw outshot Franklin 9-4 while Franklin took the advantage in corner kicks (3-2) and fouls (17-8).

Riley Riordan (2-2) recorded the win in net, recording just one save for the game.

The Tigers return to action Friday when they travel to Transylvania.
