David J. Dobson, 47, of Reelsville, Indiana, and formerly of Brazil, Indiana passed away September 5, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family.
David was born in Brazil, Indiana May 25, 1968 the son of Larry and Mary (Lanham) Dobson. He attended Northview High School and worked as a truck driver and a logger. David earned his master loggers degree. He worked for Ray Collier at Hardwood Timber and Veneer.
David loved spending time in the woods and just being outdoors. He also enjoyed fishing, ginseng hunting and just tinkering with “stuff”.
He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Dobson.
David is survived by his father Larry Dobson of Brazil; his wife Denise Dobson of Poland; his daughter Sierra Dobson of Poland; a brother Donnie Dobson of Brazil; sister Lori Dove Escott and husband Mike; a nephew Jacob Dobson; 2 nieces: Allie Dobson and Taylor Dove and a great nephew Ryan Lee Fortune; an aunt Laura Dobson and husband John of Reelsville as well as many aunts, uncles, extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be at Lawson – Miller Chapel, 1702 East National Ave. Brazil, Indiana, Thursday, from 5-9pm. Services will be at the funeral home Friday, September 11, 2015 at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Bee Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Association 5635 W 96th St #100, Indianapolis, IN 46278.
