Curtis Lee Lanham, 54, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away, September 4, 2015 at his home, with his wife by his side, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Curt was born March 17, 1961, in Clay County, Indiana the son of Billy and Mary Katherine (Bass) Lanham. Curt graduated from Van Buren High School in 1979. Curt lived in Georgia for several years where he worked as a boilermaker. After returning to Indiana he married Zara Zander and worked as a welder.
He was a member of the Centerpoint Masonic Lodge and attended Ashboro United Methodist Church. Curt enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time in his cabin on Cataract Lake and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Zara; a daughter Alexandra “Alex” Linne; his parents: Billy and Mary Katherine Lanham; sisters Teresa Roberts (Charlie) and Angelique Grimault (Jerrod Hammond); mother-in-law Juanita Zander; sister-in-law Sherry Brown; brothers-in-law Scott Brown (Shelly) and Brian Brown (Debbie); nieces and nephews: Betty Roberts, Amanda Moore (Jason), Tyler Brown, Brittany McCluskey (Matt), Levi Brown, Darci Brown (Tyler Silvers); great nieces and nephews: Colton Moore, Addyson Moore, Bryer McClusky, Makenna McClusky, Jaicee Brown and Bryson Silvers; and his Labrador companion Cami.
Visitation will be at Lawson – Miller Chapel, 1702 East National Ave, Brazil, Indiana, Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 3:00pm to 7:30pm and again Thursday from 11am until 1:00pm. Masonic services will be conducted Wednesday at 7:30pm. Services will be at the funeral home, Thursday, at 1:00pm with Pastor Bob Kumpf officiating. Burial will follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery.
