Susan Marie Lamb

Susan Marie Lamb, 64 of Brazil, passed away August 27, 2015 at her home with her family at her side. She was born November 19, 1950 in Brazil, the daughter of Roy “Ducky” McDonald and Hazel Irene Cockerham McDonald. She graduated from Brazil High School, Class of 1968. In 1992, Susan went to Ivy Tech to obtain her LPN license. She worked at Cloverleaf, Exceptional Living Center and St. Vincent Clay Hospital. She last worked at Ivy Tech teaching the CNA classes.

June 16, 2006, Susan was united in marriage to Steve Lamb. Together they have enjoyed the past nine years of their faith-centered marriage. They are founding members of Grace Chapel Church and they love their church family. Susan was a member of the Emmaus El Shaddai Community and was a pilgrim on walk #99. Susan was a nurse on a mission trip through “Nurses for the Nations”, traveling to India to work with women and children. She has been a prayer warrior to many, many people.

Susan enjoyed reading, walking for exercise, and music including Karaoke. Steve and Susan also enjoyed the gatherings at the Carbon Historic Church. They were fans and supporters of the P-150 Band.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Tom Crosley; her beloved son, Kirk Albright and a sister in law, Linda Headley.

Survivors include her husband Steve Lamb of Brazil, her daughters, Heather Payton (Todd) of N.C. and Amber Carter (Nathan) of TN, grandchildren, Madison, Dawson and Riley Payton and Gavin, Ian, Jonas and Ava Grace Carter, one brother Larry Crosley (Juanita) of Brazil, aunts Evelyn Parkins (Wayne) of Brazil, Mary Rader and Mildred Whitehead, sisters and brothers in law, Alice Long of Terre Haute, Roy (June) Lamb of Bedford, Charles (Sharon) Lamb, Dennis Lamb and Robert (Rita)Lamb all of Brazil, nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 pm at Grace Chapel with Pastor Tim Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 pm at French Funeral Home and again Tuesday from 12-2 at the church.
