David Wayne Bozarth, 56, of Brazil, Indiana and formerly of Williamsville, Illinois, went home to be with the Lord August 26, 2015 following a battle with cancer.
He was born October 1, 1959, in Lincoln, Illinois the son of Harold and Marjorie (Robison) Bozarth. David graduated from Williamsville High School with the class of 1977. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in auto mechanics and was ASE certified. He worked for Sasco’s Auto in Springfield, Illinois, and AutoZone in Terre Haute, Indiana until retiring due to health concerns in 2012. David enjoyed working on vehicles and most anything with an engine as well as playing music – especially the guitar. For a short while he played as a professional musician, in Illinois, under the name of David Wayne. He played in a band called Blind Date, as well as the church orchestra.
He was an active member of the River Community Church in Brazil, Indiana for many years and had been a member of the New Life Worship Church in Springfield, Illinois
He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Marjorie Bozarth.
He is survived by his wife Kelly whom he married in 1989; a daughter Bethany Gentry of Brazil; three grandchildren: Kyle Gentry – whom he also raised, Bailey Gentry and Vance Gentry; 1 great grandson Mayson Wayne Gentry as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
Services will be at River Community Church, 2766 West US HWY 40, Brazil, Indiana 47834, Sunday, August 30, 2015 at 5:00pm with Pastor Julie Lake officiating.
