OxyContin Approved to Use on Children With Severe Cases by FDA

As of Thursday August 13th OxyContin has been approved by the FDA to use on children ages 11 to 16. This only effects children who are going through tremendous pain and can tolerate 20 milligrams of Oxycodone. The scenario where a child would most likely be prescribed this powerful drug would be due to severe arthritis, migraines, post surgery pain, trauma or cancer pain.
