Accident in Cloverdale Invloving One Semi Leaves Two Injured

Today August 10th at 7:20am the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two vehicle crash in Cloverdale involving a white 1995 International Semi-Truck and a Brown 2006 Ford SE. The 2006 Ford SE driven by Roxxane, M, Kennedy age 58 of Columbus was northbound on State Road 243. While the 1995 International Semi-Truck driven by Lesley, G, Phillip age 59 of Terre Haute was heading westbound on State Road 243. Roxanne advised she was attempting to negotiate a curve in the roadway but her vehicle failed to turn as the tires in the front of her vehicle slid on the wet pavement. Her vehicle traveled across the center line and struck the left front of the Semi-Truck hauling 80,000 pounds of gravel. The impact occurred near SR 243 and CR75W. The force of the impact spun the Ford SE and came to rest in the northbound lane approximately 20 feet south of the point of impact. Both Roxanne and her passenger Dasam, K, Kennedy age 17 of Columbus we’re transported to the Putnam County Hospital via Operation Life. Roxanne had suffered several broken ribs while Dasam had shoulder and upper arm pain. Phillip was also transported to a medical facility for complaints of pain. Reelsville and Washington Township Fire personnel assisted at the scene.
