Public Universities Now Required to Inform Students on Debt

A new bill was signed last month by governor Mike Pence that requires all public universities in Indiana to give students proper information on how much they owe on their student loans every year. The ultimate goal of this bill is to help alleviate the $1.3 trillion dollars owed in student loan debt on a nationwide level by helping students be aware of their debt. This will also help student pull out only loans they need rather need mistakenly pulling out too much loans.
