According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office beginning January 1st 2016 Brazil dispatch will be completely taken over by Clay County Dispatch. Sheriff Paul Harden has expressed that the move will make it more efficient in getting calls out to the citizens of the county. New dispatchers will be hired when the contract goes into effect to fill the positions that will be required at the Clay County Dispatch. This will help insure the transition will be as smooth as possible. There will still be a dispatch radio at the Brazil City Police Department. The plan is to leave that radio unmanned unless for huge emergencies.
