Driver Arrested for Transporting Synthetic Drugs

This afternoon at 1:46, Indiana State Police Trooper Yan Dravigne stopped a red 1991 Dodge pickup for a lane change violation on eastbound Interstate 70 near the 37 mile marker. While conversing with the driver, Trooper Dravigne noticed indicators of possible criminal activity. During a search of the vehicle, (10) packets (approximately 100 grams) of synthetic drugs were found under the passenger side seat.

Arrested: Michael Gotcher, age 53, of Dickinson, Texas
Charge: Possession of Synthetic Drugs (A Misdemeanor)
Held: Putnam County Jail with no bond

Gotcher was en route from Texas to the Indianapolis area.
