Matt Hague knocked in a run as the Indians suffered a 7-1 loss to the Bisons yesterday in Buffalo. Adam Wilk allowed six runs in as many innings, falling to 7-and-10 for Indianapolis. The Tribe continues its series in Buffalo tonight at 7:05.
After a day off yesterday, the Colts return to practice today in Anderson. The action will resume at 1:55 p.m. at Colts City. Tomorrow’s practice will be at night. Indianapolis opens the preseason one week from tomorrow against the Jets.
NASCAR is coming down hard on Joe Gibbs Racing and Denny Hamlin’s number-11 team. Hamlin drove to a third-place finish Sunday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway failed a post-race inspection. He will lose 75 points and crew chief Darian Grubb will be suspended for six races.
Tamika Catchings had 16 points but the Fever suffered a 77-73 loss to the Sparks last night in Los Angeles. Erlana Larkins added 10 points and 10 rebounds for Indiana, which fell to 12-and-14 on the season. The Fever are back in action Thursday against the Storm in Seattle.
